Day trip to Zamora and Toro

Your day trip begins in Salamanca, travelling by minibus to Zamora. This historic city is home to one of the greatest concentrations of Romanesque churches in Europe.

During our visit, we will see one of the city’s oldest Romanesque churches, as well as its magnificent Cathedral, known as “The Pearl of the Duero.” You will also discover the role traditionally attributed to Viriato in the history of the city and learn about Zamora’s importance throughout Spanish history.

We will then continue to Toro, whose Collegiate Church is one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in the region. We will visit the interior and admire its famous Romanesque Portal of the Majesty.

Toro is also the birthplace of Toro DOP wine, one of the region’s most renowned wines. At a traditional local winery, you will enjoy a wine tasting accompanied by typical local products, while learning about the history, production and distinctive characteristics of Toro wine.

At the end of the experience, we will return to Salamanca.
